Connie J Turner

Connie Jean Turner, 74, of Port Huron, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 2, 2014.

She was born September 2, 1940 in Port Huron to the late Clarence and Edith LaTurno.

Connie worked at Prestolite Wire and was a cake decorator. After retirement, she and her husband lived for 10 years in Hawaii. She was a member of North Street United Methodist Church and loved her hymns and Bible, gardening and grandchildren.

She is survived by children, Patricia (Jeff), Mary (Henry), Shirley, Daniel, Elaine (Tim), Stacey, Uwanna (Carl), Willette, Joseph Jr. (Glenda), Charles (Teri), Marlene, Darryl and Michael; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; son-in-law, Mark; her goddaughter, Sharon Reed; siblings, Alan (Andrea), Eleanor (Sol), Susan (Richard), Beatrice, Deborah (John) and Janice; brother-in-law, Charles; sister-in-law, Evelyn; special cousins, Dave & Linda Eagle; and special pet, Lily. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her daughter, Laura; grandchild, Markie; and sister, Mary Elizabeth.

Visitation will begin at noon on Friday, December 5, 2014 in North Street United Methodist Church followed by the funeral service at 4 p.m. Elder Dave Teeple will officiate.
