Marion G Miller

Marion Grace Miller, 84, of Smiths Creek and Roscommon, died Sunday, December 7, 2014 after a long illness.

She was born June 28, 1930 in Port Huron to the late Grace and Edwin Helmer Sr. She married William Miller on March 12, 1949 in Port Huron. He died on December 15, 2010.

Marion was a longtime member of Women of the Moose Chapter #99 and especially enjoyed cooking at the Moose campground and gardening.

She is survived by three children, Shirley (Guy) Ryan, William Miller, and Skip (Michelle) Miller; 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a sister, Karen (Ray) Spooner; a brother, Gerald Helmer; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Jean Miller; a grandson, Guy Ryan; a sister, Joyce Curtis; and a brother, Edwin R. Helmer Jr.

A memorial service for Marion and William will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1404 Garfield Street, Port Huron, MI 48060. Elder John DeBell will officiate.

Inurnment will be in the Caswell Cemetery Columbarium, Kimball Township.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
