Jeanie M Baunoch
Jeanie May Baunoch, 87, of Port Huron, was Promoted to Glory, Tuesday, January 6, 2015.
She was born May 29, 1927 in Toronto, Canada to the late Louis and Sarah Holmes. She married Joseph Baunoch on October 25, 1947 in Port Huron.
Jeanie was the beloved and cherished wife of Joseph for 67 years. She grew up in Sarnia and was an accomplished speed skater, tennis player, swimmer and was an avid reader. She had a personal relationship with God and was a lifelong member of The Salvation Army. Jeanie was known for her quick wit and great sense of humor. She shared her faith with her family, ensuring they attended church regularly. Jeanie and Joseph have always been a constant source of unconditional love and inspiration to their family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; five children, Rev. Dr. Joseph (Betty) Baunoch, Patricia (Dr. Robert) Baunoch-Ulrich, Mary Ann (Michael) Richard, Gregory (Melissa) Baunoch and Janice (John) Brady; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer Baunoch, Dr. Joseph (Dina) Baunoch Jr., Beth Ann Baunoch, Dr. Evan Ulrich, Allison Ulrich, Cadet Nathan (Corrin) Perry, Bradley (Megan) Perry, Iain Baunoch, Alaina Baunoch, Thomas Wakeham, Janel (Joshua) Presnell and Anthony Wakeham; and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 in The Salvation Army - Port Huron Citadel with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Major Mark Turner will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dr. Joseph Baunoch Jr., Dr. Evan Ulrich, Nathan Perry, Bradley Perry, Thomas Wakeham, Anthony Wakeham, Iain Baunoch and Joshua Presnell.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army.
