Marion M LaVere

Marion M. LaVere, 82, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 10, 2015.

She was born July 8, 1932 in Port Huron to the late Albert and Gladys Hoag. She married Charles J. LaVere Sr. on May 6, 1961 in Port Huron. He died January 27, 1989.

Mrs. LaVere was a member of Sparlingville Baptist Church, the Golden Agers and a former member of the Martha Jorgenson Guild.

She is survived by four children, Charles (Jeanne) LaVere Jr., William (Pamela) LaVere, Arvin LaVere and Dora May LaVere; five grandchildren, Jennifer Clark, Joshua, Jake, David and Katy LaVere; great-granddaughter, Maddie Shelby Jock; foster son, Charles Merton LaVere; brother, David (Kay) Hoag; sister, Patricia Krampien; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by step son, Walt H. LaVere Sr.; three sisters, Dora Green, Clara Hall and Hilda Arnold; and three brothers, Floyd, Eldon and Albert J. Hoag.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in Sparlingville Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery.
