Leslie F Blain

Leslie “Bud” Blain, 68, of Caro, formerly of Port Huron, died Saturday, February 21, 2015.

He was born July 24, 1946 in Boyne City to the late Harold and Garnet Blain. He married Sharon Widdows on May 24, 1991 in Port Huron. She died March 10, 2009.

Bud served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and was awarded a Purple Heart. He retired as a civilian employee from the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by three children, Bryan Blain, Andrew Blain and Amanda (Israel) Fitzgerald; five grandchildren; twin sister, Jessie (Les) Saxman; brother, Melvin Blain; several nieces, nephews and cousins; companion Janice Niebel; and her children, Sonya Thede, Rachel DeLong and Diana Hawkins.

A committal service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Marine Corps and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
