Marilyn McDonald, 73, of Marysville, died Friday, March 6, 2015.
She was born August 4, 1941 in Port Huron to the late Millie and Carl F. Klaas. She married the love of her life, Raymond Darwin McDonald Sr., on April 3, 1961 in Port Huron. He died October 13, 2010.
Marilyn worked as a receptionist and in the cafeteria of Winn-Dixie and also at K-Mart. She was a longtime member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church and lived out her faith every day. She enjoyed listening to and supporting her husband’s band, the Ter-Cel’s, over the years. Marilyn was an incredibly gracious person who had the gift of making people feel good and she brought light to many lives. More than anything, she loved her family.
She is survived by three children, Renee (Robert) Soulliere, Ray (DeeAnne) McDonald II, and Bradley (Heidi) McDonald; eight grandchildren, Robert Soulliere (fiancé Whitney Greer), Elise Soulliere, Amanda Soulliere (Michael Lott), Erica (Branndan) Kanuszewski, Austin and Justin McDonald, and Tyler and Christopher McDonald; three great grandchildren, Nayeli Lott, and Ryden and Myla Kanuszewski; twin sister, Madeline (Donald) Martin; sisters, Emily (Tom) Boden and Esther (Larry) Beldock; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Carl G. Klaas.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. The Reverend Donald R. Doerzbacher of Our Saviour Lutheran Church will officiate.
