Marcellus C Gushiniere

Marcellus Cortez Gushiniere, 20, of Port Huron, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025.

He was born August 1, 2004 in Detroit and despite his lifelong health struggles, graduated from Phoenix Academy High School and looked forward to a bright future as a chef.

Marcellus had a passion for cooking and was employed as a cook with Sperry’s Moviehouse. He loved making people smile and laugh, and was known as a gentle giant with a big heart. He enjoyed anime, listening to Bruno Mars and loved the color purple. Marcellus was baptized at Bethlehem Temple Church in Port Huron.

He is survived by his parents, Tenille and Cassius Gushiniere Sr.; birth mother and father, Marlecia Kennedy and Cassius Gushiniere Jr.; siblings, Camari Gushiniere, Cartayius Gushiniere, Brandon McGlothlin, Olivia Brazil and several other brothers and sisters; special aunt and uncle, Maia and Chalil Gushiniere and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Cavell Gushiniere; his Grandma and Grandpa Smith and Grandma White.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. Bishop Marvin Mitchell will officiate.
