Karen L Sheffer

Karen Lee Sheffer, 65, of Port Huron Township, died Saturday, March 7, 2015.

She was born January 5, 1950 in Port Huron to Harold and Doris Sheffer.

Karen was employed with the State of Michigan Department of Human Services for 30 years. She was president of the Blue Water Womens League. She loved solving jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and going to the casino.

Her greatest joy in life was the birth of her granddaughter. Nothing gave her more joy than spending time with Avari and watching her grow. She couldn’t have been more proud of her.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Draveling; granddaughter, Avari Draveling; mother, Doris Sheffer; sister, Connie Mathews; brother, Harold Sheffer; several nieces and nephews; and many longtime friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold; and son-in-law, Gary Draveling.

Funeral services will be held 6:00 pm Thursday, March 12, 2015 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation from 2:00 pm until the time of service. Reverend Robert Brannon will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to her grandchild’s educational fund in care of Stephanie Draveling.
