Joyce Cornelia Kidd, 82, of Port Huron Township, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
She was born December 29, 1932 in Port Huron to the late Ollie Dixon and Helen Noble. She was united in marriage to Charles Kidd Jr. on November 17, 1962. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1991.
Mrs. Kidd was a licensed cosmetologist since 1971. She studied with Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 30 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was known for her class, wit and smile.
She is survived by a daughter, Denise Joyce Benjamin; a grandson, Dwynell LaFonce Benjamin; three great grandchildren, Malik Bryante Benjamin, Dwynell LaFonce Benjamin Jr. and Drayden Luke Benjamin; a sister, Ollie Marie Gracey; special nephew, Larry (Queenie) Noble; special niece, Joyce Noble Monroe; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends, including a very special friend, Sandy Seely. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roosevelt Noble.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2015 in Lakeside Cemetery Chapel, Port Huron. Elder Leonardo Burton will officiate.
