Gary L. Phillips, 75, of Kimball Township, died Thursday, March 19, 2015.
He was born November 7, 1939 in Port Huron to the late Taylor and Henrietta Phillips. He married Susan Bodley on April 30, 1960.
Mr. Phillips was a car dealer for many years and owned and operated a convenience store with his wife prior to his retirement. He enjoyed model railroads, coin collecting, searching for antiques, watching Detroit sports teams and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; three children, Debra Redden, David (Nadia Onorati) Phillips and Julie (Jeffrey) Beach; eight grandchildren, Kyle (Lauren), Samantha, Marck, Andrew, Jadzia, David, Jeffrey and Bryant; a great grandson, Mason; two brothers, Robert (Eva) Phillips and Richard (Katie) Phillips; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack Burdick, Bud Phillips and Lowell Phillips.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
