Jerry R "E.Z." Kaercher

Jerry “E.Z.” Kaercher, 63, of North Street, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015.

He was born August 20, 1951 in Brown City to the late Calvin and Helen Kaercher. He married Bettie Jean Pollina on March 26, 1988 and when she moved to Florida, they remained very close.

Jerry was a 1969 graduate of Port Huron High School. He worked as a truck driver and formerly at U.S. Manufacturing. He enjoyed playing baseball, playing and coaching hockey, drag racing, riding his motorcycle, pool, horseshoes and NASCAR. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and shooting and he was a collector of many things. Jerry was a wonderful father and was loved by many.

He is survived by his wife, Bettie Jean; a son, Joseph (Hannah Edwards); two daughters, Lindsay and Courtney; a brother, Roger Kaercher; aunts & uncles, including Art & Patricia Collins, Charles Kaercher, Joyce Martin and Phyllis & Marcel Ryder; several nieces, nephews and cousins; a dear friend, Lori; and special son, Zac Walker.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin II and Robert; and cousins, John “John Boy” Collins, Gary “Dooner” Dagg.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Hillside Wesleyan Church, 5114 N. River Rd., North Street, followed by a meal and time of fellowship. Bob Dickinson will officiate.

Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
