John L Bearden

John Leroy Bearden, 72, of Burtchville Township, died Monday, April 6, 2015.

He was born May 13, 1942 in Flint to the late Pete and Vera Bearden. He married Carolyn Miller on May 29, 1965 in Port Huron. She died December 24, 1997.

Mr. Bearden was employed with Diamond Crystal Salt for 27 years. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his son, David; brothers, Frank (Janet) Bearden and Ed (Marge) Bearden; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, April 9, 2015 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visiting from 11:00 am. Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. Burial will follow in Burtchville Township Cemetery. Doug Porrett, John Parent, Jeff Parent, Jim Parent, Frank Catlin, Bill Nestle, Bill Nestle Jr. and Rob Nestle will serve as pallbearers.
