Shirley L Schrader

Shirley L. Schrader, 87, of Grant Township, died Thursday, April 23, 2015.

He was born September 6, 1927 in Port Huron to the late Henry and Edna Schrader.

Mr. Schrader was a mill operator with St. Clair Rubber Company. He served in the U.S. Army as part of the occupation army of Japan following World War II. He also farmed and drove a truck for Jay & Kay Manufacturing of Croswell for many years.

He is survived by a sister, Phyllis Lightle; four nephews, Brian (Marjorie) Lightle, Bruce (Kathy) Lightle, Darryl (Billie) Payne and Kevin Payne; several great nieces and great nephews; and a brother-in-law, Richard Dodd. He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Dodd.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2015 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Max Amstutz will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the Veterans Honor Guard Alliance.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Disabled American Veterans Chapter 12.
