Bonnie Lee Higgins, 63, of Harrison Township, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015.
She was born June 10, 1951 in Port Huron to the late William and Elizabeth Haken. She married her high school sweetheart, John A. Higgins, on September 11, 1971 in Westhaven Baptist Church, Port Huron.
Mrs. Higgins was a 1969 graduate of Port Huron Northern High School. Her passion was caring for children and she babysat 24 children from birth until kindergarten over the years. She loved gardening and flowers.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, John; two sons, William “John” Higgins and Mark (Heather) Higgins; a grandson, Nolan Higgins; six siblings, Bill Haken, Linda (Ray) Grubbs, David Haken, Frank (Barbara) Haken, Pamela (Brad Goldman) Darling and Wendy (Charles) Neruda; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
