June M. Mastaw, 76, of Fort Gratiot passed away on June 17, 2015 after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Her daughters and Father Jeff Allen were at her side.
She was born April 6, 1939 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. June was the third child of the late Jesse and Marie Flowers.
Mrs. Mastaw was a devoted mother to her family and a caring friend. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Port Huron. She enjoyed gardening, watching sports, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and family.
June is survived by her son, Jerry (Cyndi) Mastaw of Pensacola, FL; daughters, Jean (Martin) Bringard of Fort Gratiot, MI, and Jennifer (Zach Landau) Mastaw of Grosse Pointe, MI; six grandchildren, Taylor Bringard, Jacob Bringard, Jack Bringard, Alexia Weller, Logan Mastaw, and Colin Mastaw; a brother, Jay (Judith) Flowers of Grosse Pointe, MI; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Judith Mastaw and Jayne Flowers.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mastaw will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2015 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Reverend Brian Cokonougher will officiate.
The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn, MI. Pallbearers will be Bob Mastaw, Marty Bringard, Jacob Bringard, Dan Gerstenberger, Michael Gerstenberger, Zach Landau, Jack Bringard, and Logan Mastaw.
