Joyce Audrey Eckler, 87, of Marysville, died Monday, June 29, 2015.
She was born December 20, 1927 in Baxter, Iowa to the late Ralph R. and Nina J. Bucklin. She was raised by her mother and step-father, Stephen Wharton.
Joyce lived at Vicksburg Hall in Marysville for over 17 years and had many friends there. More recently, she lived at Marwood Nursing & Rehab where she enjoyed the art therapy program. She also loved playing Bingo and cards, especially Texas Hold ‘Em. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by five children, Joy (Ronald) Venable, Robert Eckler, Debby Eckler, Nina (Adam) Summerer, and Denise (Mark) West; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She joins in Heaven a grandson, Kevin Venable; son-in-law, Kevin McNally; and three sisters, Dona Brennan, Berna Anderson, and Bonnie Marchment.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2015 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
Inurnment will be in the Riverlawn Cemetery Columbarium, Marysville.
