Carmen Farquhar
Carmen Eugene Farquhar, 83, a lifelong Port Huron resident, died Sunday, July 12, 2015.
He was born April 2, 1932 in Port Huron to the late Alten and Agnes Farquhar. He married Mary Lou Weaver on February 15, 1969 in Port Huron and from that day on Carmen called her “my precious Mary Lou”.
Mr. Farquhar was employed over the years with PH&D railroad, A&E Electric, and Griswold Street Baptist Church. He was a longtime member of Port Huron Assembly of God, belonged to the Salvation Army Golden Agers, and the Griswold Street Retirees Club. He loved worshipping the Lord, sitting by the water, playing Bingo, doing word searches, and McDonalds.
He is survived by his children, James (Wanda) Farquhar, Mary Kay Farquhar, Faith (Dennis) Gohl, John (Lori) Fleming, and Paul Fleming; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a special friend, Martin Galvan; his dog, Buddy; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alexis; and 13 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in Griswold Street Baptist Church. Pastor James Pettit will officiate.
