Betty J. Harder, 85, of Burtchville Township, died Sunday, August 9, 2015.

She was born December 15, 1929 in Sarnia, Ontario to the late Trevuel and Nora Godden. She married William Harder on October 11, 1948 in Angola, Indiana. He died June 12, 2010.

Mrs. Harder enjoyed golfing, was an avid bowler, music lover and dancing queen. She was a member of the Elks, Eagles and Moose Lodge.

She is survived by four children, James (Sandy) Harder of Port Huron, William (Susan) Harder of Fort Gratiot, Nora (Mike) Higgins of Burtchville and Linda (Phil) Wilkins of Kimball; ten grandchildren, John Harder, Edward (Jamie) Harder, Carissa (JR Rataj) Harder, Jared Harder, Amy (Brandon) Kovatch, Cassandra Higgins, Brian (fiancée Gloria Neihoff) Higgins, Nicholas (Amie) Mercurio, Billy and Brad Harder; 12 great grandchildren; a brother, Glen (Alice) Godden of Vancouver, Canada; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Edward Harder; her sister, Beverly Godden; and a brother, Larry Godden.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.

Burial will be in Burtchville Township Cemetery.
