Helen C. Cousins, 95, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015.
She was born July 10, 1920 in Mooretown, Ontario to the late Bert and Ida Baxter. She married G. Donald Cousins in 1952. He died May 21, 1973.
Mrs. Cousins was a nurse with Prestolite Wire Company. She was a longtime member of First Congregational Church where she sang in the choir and was involved in her church circle. Helen was always eager to help church friends and others who needed a ride or a helping hand. She enjoyed boating, going places with her family, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol (Ken) Pilarowski and Barbara (Dan) Busen; three grandchildren, Scott (Amy) Busen, Carrie (Joe) Nadeau and Miranda (Frank) Rich; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Alice Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2015 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. The Rev. Max Amstutz will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church or the Council on Aging.
