Doris Elaine Colden, 91, of Port Huron, died Thursday, August 13, 2015 in Medilodge of Port Huron.

She was born November 11, 1923 in Port Huron to the late Herman and Amelia Klammer. She married William Gilbert Thomson on February 13, 1954. They divorced in 1959. She then married Glenn Henry Colden on April 10, 1965. He died June 25, 2008.

Doris graduated from Port Huron High School in January 1942. She worked as a bookkeeper for Custom-Bilt Tire Company for 7 years and was a receptionist for Askar-Shain Photography for 18 years. She was then employed as a secretary at Black River County Club for 9 years. Doris enjoyed many hobbies including needlepoint, embroidery, crossword puzzles and reading. She also had a large collection of Franklin Mint Collector Dolls.

She is survived by cousins, Carol and Lloyd Hodgins, Richard and Ann Harris and Bonnie Barnes, all of Sarnia, Ontario, Donald and Donna Barnes of Corunna, Ontario, Marilyn Smith of Orlando, Florida, and Lloyd Stokes of Flint; a sister-in-law, Viola Colden of Sterling Heights; and many nieces and nephews, including Donna and Sanford Fuller of Avoca, George and Colleen Colden of Centerline and Sharon Hawkins of Port Huron, who were always there for her. She is also survived by many great nieces, great nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother, H. Delford Klammer.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
