Albert F Kota
Albert F. “Al” Kota, 92, of Kimball Township, died Friday, September 18, 2015.
He was born June 14, 1923 in Clyde Township to the late Emory J. and Rozalia Kota. He married Donna J. Dunlap on January 10, 1953 in Wadhams.
Mr. Kota was a pattern maker with the Detroit Pattern Makers Association prior to his retirement. He loved spending time in the outdoors, hunting and fishing and shared that passion with others as a Boy Scout Leader. He enjoyed woodworking, antiques and traveling with his family. He was an active member of North Street United Methodist Church and the Clyde Historical Society.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Alberta (Larry) Brennan, Donald Kota and Fiancé Shelia Stocks, Mary Lou (Gary) Valentine, Beverly (Ken) Harper, Dan (Sharon) Kota and David (Cathy) Kota; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, Dolly (Cecil) Darby; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by seven sisters.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, September 22, 2015 in North Street United Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Reverend David Reed will officiate.
Burial will follow in Ruby Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Burleigh, Ricky VanBuskirk, Terry VanBuskirk, Matthew Kota, Daniel Kota, and Timothy Hoffman.
Memorials may be made to North Street United Methodist Church and Blue Water Hospice.
