Obituary

James William Harneck, 77, of Jeddo, went to be with the Lord Friday, October 2, 2015 surrounded by his family.

He was born April 24, 1938 in Applegate to the late William H. and Althea E. Harneck. He married Ruth Ann Hamilton on June 27, 1959 in Port Huron.

Jim was employed with Mueller Brass Co. for 38 years before his retirement in 1999. He also was a lifelong farmer. He was a founding member of The River Church of God and helped construct their current building. More than anything he loved helping others.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruth; daughters, Bonnie (Doug) Lukas, Linda (Scott) Rowse, Jody A. (Jody L.) Johnston, James (Susan) Harneck and Herb Lambert; grandchildren, Kelly (Dave) Kleinstiver, Debra (Brian) Tolan, Jennafer Johnston, Sarah Johnston and Spencer Rowse; great grandchildren, Liam and Raegan Kleinstiver and Hailey Tolan; brother, Charles (Jackie) Harneck; sister, Carol Harneck; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close family friends.

Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-9 pm Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in The River Church of God with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Pastor Bill Wahl will officiate.

Memorials may be made to The River Church of God Building Fund.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Regency on the Lake for the kindness, compassionate care and love that they showed Jim and his family.
