P. Evelyn "Evie" Maarhuis

P. Evelyn “Evie” Maarhuis, 67, of Marysville, died Sunday, October 18, 2015.

She was born February 24, 1948 in Port Huron to the late Bert and Nellie Hagle. She married John Maarhuis who preceded her in death on October 29, 2009.

Mrs. Maarhuis was a long time member of the Blue Water Aerie #3702 Fraternal Order of Eagles. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, reading and completing crossword puzzles. The most important thing to her was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Kevin) Sullivan; son, Michael Roesch Sr.; grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Paige, Michael Jr. and Nicholas; great grandchildren, Carmen, Caleb, Gauge and Mackenzie; sister, Margaret (Fred) Nelson; and brother, Gary Hagle. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bert, Charles and John; and sister, Linda Warren.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, October 23, 2015 in Marysville Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 am. Pastor Max Amstutz will officiate. Inurnment will be in Riverlawn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
