Joseph Kaminski, 80, of Wales Township, died Monday, October 26, 2015.
He was born February 6, 1935 in Detroit to the late Rose Truzskowski. He married Marianne Balduck on December 28, 1973 in Grosse Pointe Park.
Mr. Kaminski was a mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service for 33 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam and Korea. He was an usher with Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a longtime member of the St. Isidore Knights of Columbus Council #7200 and volunteered with St. Vincent de Paul. He enjoyed sharing his garden crops with friends and family and watching the Detroit Tigers and Lions.
He is survived by his wife, Marianne; two children; and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two children.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Mr. Kaminski will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 in Holy Family Parish St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. His brother-in-law, Father Walter Balduck, OFM Capuchin, will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Philip Neri Cemetery.
