Dolores G Zryd

Dolores Gloria Zryd, 82, of Port Huron, was called to her eternal rest on October 27, 2015.
She was born May 30, 1933 in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Stanley & Grace Wdowiak. She was sister to Rose Marie (James) Weeks and Richard (Rosalie) Doviak. She married Richard Gene Zryd on June 9, 1951 in Armada. He died March 23, 2003. She was also preceded in death by a son, Christopher Zryd.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen (Frank) Schoenbaechler; two sons, Richard (Carolyn) Zryd and Peter (Terri Lynne) Zryd; six grandchildren, Sara (Sean) Graham, Eric Schoenbaechler, Stephanie (Jeffrey) Dalrymple, Richard Zryd, Dylan and Trevor Zryd; four great grandchildren, Emily, Annabel, Ryan and Alayna; and several nieces and nephews.
Dolores and Richard built and owned Dickie Dee Marina in Fair Haven, where she was also a member of the Planning Commission. Later in life, Dolores worked with the St. Clair Art Association, Port Huron Museum, Foster Grandparents and WalMart. She loved to travel, was an avid gardener, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and genealogy.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, 1505 Ballentine, Port Huron.
Inurnment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
Memorials may be made in the Zryd family name to Hunter Hospitality House, 1010 Lincoln, Port Huron.
