Donald L McCombs

Donald L. McCombs, 74, of Jeddo died October 31, 2015 in the Blue Water Hospice Home, Marysville.

He was born October 23, 1941 in North Wildwood, New Jersey to the late Floyd V. and Natalie M. McCombs.

Don worked at Dean Foods, Croswell, for 37 years. He loved telling stories about the many places he lived being a military child, especially in Alaska. His hobbies were collecting stamps, recipes and cookbooks. He mostly enjoyed watching the wildlife and birds in the fields behind his house.

He is survived by his brother and best friend, Glenn (Marion) McCombs of Jeddo; nieces, Tara (Gary R.) Hegler of Jeddo and Robin Ground of Mount Pleasant; nephew, Glenn B. McCombs of Tennessee; great nephew, Gary V. (Taylor) Hegler of Rhode Island; and his favorite aunt, Thelma Theuret of Pennsylvania.

Per Don’s request, there will be no services. He will be buried next to his parents in Washington Cemetery, Carsonville. In lieu of flowers or memorials, honor Don by saying a kind word to someone or doing a kind deed.
