Donna J Genaw

Donna Jean Genaw, 88, of Port Huron, died Monday, November 2, 2015.

She was born July 5, 1927 in Port Huron to the late Charles and Mary Bascom. She married Nyles Genaw on December 31, 1949 in St. John’s United Church of Christ.

Mrs. Genaw was a longtime member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and member of the Mary Martha Guild. In her early years, she worked for several doctor and dentist offices. She enjoyed cooking and reading and loved taking care of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Nyles; two children, Mary Lynn Zaremba and David (Kim) Genaw; four grandchildren, Nicole, Haley, Shelby and Bradley Genaw; a brother, Charles Bascom; and a sister, Catherine Ainsworth. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Gresch.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 in St. John’s United Church of Christ with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
