Jeffry Beem Sr., of Avoca, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in his home.
He was born February 6, 1962 to John "Jack" and the late Lucille Beem. He married Pamela Paupard on October 19, 1991 in Richmond.
Jeff worked as an ambulance dispatcher, at Toys 'R' Us, at Sheldon Medical, and at Thumb Home Care, but his favorite job was being a stay-at-home dad caring for his children. He enjoyed hunting, playing wheelchair basketball, model trains, flying remote control airplanes, NASCAR, and spending time with family and friends. He had a great sense of humor. Despite lifelong illness, he was widely known to be strong and determined with a great love of life.
Jeff is survived by his wife; three children, Bailey, Jeffry Jr. "Scotty", and Jackson; father, Jack; brothers, John Jr., Bill and Gary; and many, many other friends and family members. He was preceded in death by his dear friends, Stephen Wray and George Davis.
His life was touched by so many people, including all the healthcare professionals that were so good to him near the end.
Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday, December 5, 2015 in Avoca United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Ron Bailey will officiate.
