John W Westrick Jr.

John Walter Westrick Jr., 62, of East China Township, died Saturday, December 5, 2015.

He was born August 10, 1953 in Port Huron to the late John W. and Patricia Westrick. He married Ellen McClelland on July 1, 1994.

John was employed with St. Clair Packaging for many years prior to his retirement this past summer. He was a very active member of the Marysville United Methodist Church serving in many capacities as well as being a member of the church choir. He was an avid reader, animal lover and will be remembered as a very creative, kind person.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ellen; sister, Julie (Lloyd) Anderson; two brothers, Michael and Gary Westrick; mother-in-law, Jean McClelland; sister-in-law, Alice (Brad) Hool; brother-in-law, Wayne McClelland; and six nieces and nephews, Kevin Anderson, Emily Smith, Brandon Hool, Kylie Hool, Travis McClelland and Elizabeth McClelland.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 in Marysville United Methodist Church. The Reverend Barbara E. Welbaum will officiate.

Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair.
