Rosemary Emerick

October 10th, 1931 to December 6th, 2015

Rosemary Emerick, 84, of Port Huron, died Sunday, December 6, 2015 as a result of an automobile accident.

She was born October 10, 1931 in Port Huron to the late William and Anna Kelly. She married H. Robert “Bob” Emerick on July 7, 1956 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church.

Mrs. Emerick attended St. Stephen High School and was employed with Women’s Life Insurance Company. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church and volunteered in the gift shop at McLaren Port Huron Hospital. She enjoyed going to casinos and traveling with friends from Sunburst Tours and her church friends from St. Stephen.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bob; her daughter, Marcia (Jim) Swick; a sister, Agnes Schieble; a brother-in-law, Jacob Emerick; a sister-in-law, Eleanor McDaniels; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by three sisters & brothers-in-law, Mary Ellen and Harry Roehl, Kathleen and George Burgler and Josephine and Jim Collins; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike Schieble, David Emerick, Alexander and Dorothea Emerick, Mollie Neil, Lydia Emerick, Katherine and Milburn “Curley” Kernohan, Edith and Chuck Reynolds, Berkeley Emerick, Dorothy “Rose” Hurford, Chuck and Marion Emerick and Bud and Mary Fisher.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 11, 2015 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Rev. Brian Cokonougher will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.
