Loradean Jones
December 6th, 1963 to December 14th, 2015
Loradean Jones, 52, of Port Huron, fought a long hard battle for seven years of her life with hyper pulmonary tension. She was called home on Monday, December 14, 2015.
She was born December 6, 1963 in Port Huron to Leo and the late Barbara Jones.
Loradean Jones graduated from Port Huron High School in 1982 and soon after she attended Mt. St. Joseph College in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she majored in literature and English language arts. She worked a wide range of jobs and careers. She was a people person, kind-hearted and a helpful friend to many. In her free time she enjoyed her music collection which she was very fond of, and she would read novels front to back. But her real passion and joy was watching her sons take up the performing arts, and traveling the Midwest competing in dance competitions.
Loradean is survived by three sons, Revon (Alexis) Jones, Devon Jones and Terrill Jones; two granddaughters, Riley Rae and Aubree Sturges; her father, Leo Jones; two sisters, Kathy Kennedy and Tamika Hayes; two brothers, Leo Jones, Jr. and Cleveland Jones; nieces, LaNoe Kennedy and Mariah Meadows; nephews, Clovis Bordeaux, Julian (Nicole) Kennedy, Cleveland Jones Jr., and Lawran and Parrish Meadows; and a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Jones.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mt. Olive Baptist Church. The Rev. Ben McClinton will officiate.
