Harold Lee Shands, 59, of Kimball Township, died Sunday, January 3, 2016.
He was born June 21, 1956 in Flint to the late Carl Lee and Opal Lee Shands.
Harold worked full-time as a machinist and also had a 26 year career with the Kimball Township Fire Department as a paid on call firefighter, safety officer, Battalion Chief, and EMT. He was a member and treasurer of the Kimball Firefighters Association.
He is survived by his sons, Brett and Nathin Shands; a sister, Sandra Parker; and a nephew, Adam (Lisa) Parker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Tommy Shands; a brother-in-law, Sam Parker; and a nephew, Alan Parker.
Memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. A firefighter pass and review service will be conducted by the Kimball Township Firefighters.
Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris.
Memorials may be made to the Kimball Firefighters Association.
