Marie H Lohr

Marie Helen Lohr, 53, of Kenockee Township, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 after a short battle with cancer.

She was born April 25, 1962 in Yale to Natalie and the late Norman Lohr.

Marie was a 1980 graduate of Yale High School. She enjoyed reading and caring for animals, especially her pet peacock and cat.

She is survived by her mother, Natalie Lohr; sister, Norma (Jesse) Miller; brother, Norman “Ed” Lohr; aunt, Janice (Lyle) Barnes; niece and nephews, Delaney Lohr, Caiden Lohr, Cameron Lohr, Brennan Lohr, Jacob Miller and Kyle Miller; her godparents, Marie and Elmer Campbell; and good friends, Jim Kovach and Laura & Larry Hearn. She was preceded in death by her lifelong companion and friend, Joe Hearn; and grandparents, Gerald and Helen Brown and Gordon and Martha Lohr Sparling.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 in the Avoca United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Don Wojewski will officiate.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Yale.
