Hal Wayne Gerhold, 62, of Port Huron, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 28, 2016.
He was born January 22, 1954 in Port Huron to the late Harold and Beatrice Gerhold. He married Barbara Tokarski in June, 1976. She preceded him in death in June, 2001.
Mr. Gerhold graduated from Port Huron High School in 1973. He worked for most of his life in the landscaping business and most recently was a volunteer with The Salvation Army. He enjoyed sports, especially the University of Michigan and the Detroit Red Wings.
He is survived by his sister, Lynnette (Jim) Struble; two nieces and two nephews, Alissa (Chris) Sheatzley, Kyle (Nicole) Struble, Lynnette (Rob) Gerhold, and Anthony Gerhold; and many friends from The Salvation Army. He was preceded in death by a sister, Vicky McNaughton.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in The Salvation Army Citadel with visitation one hour prior. Major Kirk Schuetz will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Gratiot.
