Anthony Joseph “Tony” Porritt, 49, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
He was born August 18, 1966 in Flint.
Tony worked as a pipefitter and U.S. Customs Broker. He enjoyed working on cars, watching sports, especially the Red Wings, and listening to rock and roll music.
He is survived by a daughter, Ashley (Sal) Mannino; a son, Nicholas (Halie Barr) Porritt; his children’s mother, Jennifer Porritt; a grandson, Salvatore James Mannino and two more on the way this summer; his birthmother, Mary Porritt; siblings, Raymond Porritt, Sherri Russell-Preston, Kerri Hackney-Sprentz, John Porritt and Dawn Holcomb; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his dogs, Abby and Bubba. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Porritt and Dawn Hamady.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016 in the Marysville Funeral the Home with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. The Reverend Joseph DeHass will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the family.
