Ralph J Beerbower

Ralph Junior Beerbower I, 86, of Port Huron, died Thursday, March 31, 2016.

He was born November 25, 1929 in Saegertown, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Bernice Beerbower. He married Geraldine McCully on August 4, 1962 in Port Huron.

He served in the U.S. Navy then went on to retire from the U.S. Coast Guard in 1970. He then worked for Port Huron Hospital for many years. Ralph was a member of First Presbyterian Church, American Legion Charles Hammond Post #8, Port Huron Lodge #58 F. & A.M. and Smiths Creek O.E.S.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Geri; three daughters, Sandra (Al) Bassett of East China, Nancy (Dennis) Harris of Alpena and Debra (David) Burns of Port Huron; two sons, Ralph J. (Kris) Beerbower II of Port Huron and Scott (Cyndi) Beerbower of Fort Gratiot; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Harold (Jean) Beerbower; two sisters, Betty Beerbower and Violet Knapp, all of Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A Masonic memorial service will be held at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 4, 2016 in First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Jason Pittman will officiate.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fort Gratiot. Pallbearers will be Johnathan Bosquette, John Brandstatter, Roger Wolff, Dennis Harris, Al Bassett and David Burns. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
