Joyce Russel

Mrs. Joyce Ester Russel, 88, of Fort Gratiot, died April 26, 2016 in Blue Water Hospice Home.

She was born December 7, 1927 in Port Huron to the late Charles R. & Stella Dodd. She married Floyd Russel on November 7, 1946 in Port Huron. He died November 3, 1998.

Mrs. Russel received her licensure in cosmetology at age 17 and retired from Bev’s Styling Salon after many years of hairdressing. She was a member of Griswold Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mr. & Mrs. Joe (Linda) Shaddinger of North Carolina and Mr. & Mrs. David (Lou Ann) Horn of Port Huron; three grandchildren, Jeremy (Rebecca) Horn, Daniel Horn and Gregory Shaddinger; and great granddaughter, Bethany Horn.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday, April 29 in the funeral home. Pastor Darwin Reeves of Fellowship Bible Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fort Gratiot Township.
