Frederick E Kneebone

Frederick Earl Kneebone, 89, of Yale, died Saturday, May 14, 2016.

He was born March 5, 1927 in Detroit to the late Elmer and Anna Kneebone.

Mr. Kneebone served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and fought in the Pacific Theater. Following the war, he owned and operated an appliance repair business for many years and loved to farm. He was a member of V.F.W. Yale Post #3129.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Jeanette; children, James (Jeanne) Kneebone, Ann Marie Kneebone and Mark Sprague; five stepchildren, Janet, Donna, Doreen, James and Dawn; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Doris Hemingsen; and a sister-in-law, Katherine Kneebone. He was preceded in death by his son, Rick Kneebone; and two brothers, John and Bill Kneebone.

A memorial gathering will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2016 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church hall in Yale.
