Gerald A Hawley
Gerald A. Hawley, 85, of Port Huron Township died Friday, May 27, 2016.
He was born December 24, 1930 in Port Huron to the late Wesley I. and Helen Hawley. He married Joyce Ann Hamilton on August 11, 1951 in Port Huron. She died May 6, 2011.
Mr. Hawley was employed with Michigan Bell Telephone for over 40 years prior to his retirement. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a long time member of Marysville American Legion Post #449. He enjoyed golfing, spending time with his grandchildren and watching the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. He was a member of both the Elks Lodge and Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Juli) Hawley and Jay (Ann) Hawley; and three grandchildren, Raymond, Emily and Jacob Hawley. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Jo in 1952 and two brothers, Donald and Leroy Hawley.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Military Honors will be conducted by the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Marysville American Legion Post #449 Auxiliary Nursing Scholarship Fund.
