Verlin G Livingston
Verlin Geneva (Meadows) Livingston, 82, of Port Huron departed this earthly life to be home with the Lord on May 29, 2016.
She was born April 3, 1934 in Port Huron to the late Vernon and Catherine Meadows. She married William Philip Livingston in 1953.
Geneva graduated from Port Huron High School in 1952. She was a loving mother, who devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, working in her yard and listening to her gospel music. Geneva loved the Lord and was a member at Restoration Christian Community Church and served on the Mother’s Board. Geneva also dedicated time to building up the south side of the city and helping neighborhood children. She held an annual membership with the NAACP and received many community service awards.
She leaves to cherish her memory; three sons, William (Carol Hartman), Philip Carl and Robbie Livingston; two daughters, Juanita Taylor and Lucille Livingston; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Anita (Charlie) Jemison; sister-in-law, Bettye Livingston; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Katherine, Anna May, and Elizabeth Agnes; and four brothers, Vernon Jr., Ernest, Robert and Eugene.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016 in the Restoration Christian Community Church. Pastor Carl Miller will be officiating.
Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery.
