Jon R Miller

Jon Robert Miller, 49, of Port Huron Township, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 3, 2016.

He was born July 8, 1966 in Mt. Pleasant. He married Maria Tocco in 1996 in Port Huron. She died February 24, 2011.

Jon was a teacher and principal for the Sandusky Community School District for many years. He previously worked as a nurse at Port Huron Hospital. He enjoyed sports and coaching and dabbled in farming. His children were his greatest joy.

He is survived by a daughter, Nicole Corbin of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a son, Jon Miller of Port Huron; his father, Robert (Judy) Miller of Georgia; three brothers, Kevin Kelley, Doug Ligon and Don Ligon; his mother-in-law, Maria Tocco of Clinton Township; and many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 in St. Stephen Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. The Rev. Jeffrey Allan will officiate.

Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for his son Jon’s education. Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
