Betty J Cheeseman

Betty Jane Cheeseman, 92, of Port Huron, died Saturday, June 25, 2016.

She was born March 13, 1924 in Fort Gratiot Township to the late George and Lelia Boman. She married Donald G. Cheeseman on September 10, 1966 in Port Huron. He died July 1, 2005.

Betty attended the Salvation Army and was a member of the Golden Agers for over 25 years. She volunteered at Palmer Park, loved working in her yard and growing flowers, going shopping and to garage sales, cooking, reading her bible and praying every day. She and her husband enjoyed going to car shows together. She liked visiting with people, and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sister, June M. Lester; brother, George F. Boman; nephews, Michael Lester and George W. Boman; niece, Susan (Joe) DeMartino; great nephews, Stephen and Cody DeMartino; great niece, Jessica DeMartino; and several cousins.

Funeral services will take place 11:00 am Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9:30 am. Major Kirk Schuetz of the Salvation Army will officiate. Burial will be in Lynn Township Cemetery.
