Clara S Messick

Clara Selina Messick, 85, of Fort Gratiot Township died Thursday, July 7, 2016.

She was born January 8, 1931 in Tarbutt, Ontario, Canada to the late Ernest and Elizabeth Parker.

Mrs. Messick was past president of Fidelity Federal Savings and Loan. She was a member of the board of directors of the American Institute of Banking and of the Adopt a Family of Palm Beach County Florida. She was a devoted observer of the Roman Catholic faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Catheryne (Bruce) Dash; son, Stephen Corbett; grandchildren, Karen Dash, Ryan Dash, Leah Dash, Kevin (Lona) Corbett and Christopher (Mary) Corbett; great granddaughters, Makayla and Mariah Corbett; special nieces, Shirley Parker and Helen McCallum; special nephews, Bill (Jane) Korhonen, Bob (Marilyn) Korhonen and Michael (Maureen) Korhonen; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William and Thomas Parker; sisters, Marion (John) Korhonen and Doris (Bill) Doughty; first husband, Earl Corbett; and second husband, Robert Messick; and niece’s husband, Dennis McCallum.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, July 17, 2016 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation from 2:00 pm until the time of the service.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
