Thomas H Mugan

Thomas Howard Mugan, 76, of Port Huron, died unexpectedly on July 21, 2016 in St. John Hospital.

He was born July 13, 1940 in Port Huron to the late James and Estelle (Murphy) Mugan.

Tom was a 1958 graduate of St. Stephen High School and served in the National Guard. He owned the Gardens Bar for over 10 years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, American Legion Charles Hammond Post #8, Blue Water Aerie #3702 F.O.E. and the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Welch Council #11756. He loved cookouts, playing cards, playing pool, golfing and canoeing but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy L. Mugan; his sons, Robert T. Mugan and David Ledesma; granddaughter, Amber Mugan; sister, Marilyn Kelley; brother, Michael P. (Barb) Mugan Sr.; many loving nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, Daisy. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald and James Mugan.

Thomas will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Port Huron. The Rev. Joseph Gagnon will officiate.

Burial will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Emmett.
