Sandra J Miller

Sandra Jean Miller, 67, of Fort Gratiot, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2016 after a courageous three year battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born May 25, 1949 in Bay Village, Ohio to Joan and the late Samuel Gentilly. She married James Miller on December 26, 1976 in Lapeer. He died May 8, 2000.

Mrs. Miller was a teacher with the Port Huron Area School District and after her retirement was an adjunct professor at SC4 for several years. She enjoyed line dancing, playing Euchre and Bunco, traveling on bus trips and shopping.

She is survived by three children, Matthew Miller (Theresa Lawson), Aaron (Heather) Miller and Amanda Miller; her mother, Joan Gentilly; grandchildren, Gabriel and Noah Miller; siblings, Jody Stewart, Becky Newman and Ross Gentilly; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 1 to 6 p.m. with a meal being served at 2 p.m. at the Dorsey House Restaurant, 6008 Beard Road, North Street.
