James P Schultz

James Peter Schultz, 74, of Clyde Township, died Thursday, August 11, 2016.

He was born April 21, 1942 in Port Huron to the late Ott and Louise Schultz. He married his best friend and love, Sharon Smith, on August 9, 1996.

Jim worked over the years for Ricky Drive Inn, St. Clair Inn, Riverside Metals, and Pine River Plastics. He collected model trains and enjoyed tinkering.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sharon; step-children, Michelle (Roy) Burtch-DeWitt, Vicki (Tom) Lasher, and Charlie (Tiffany) Smith; grandchildren, Haley, Austin and Kaslen Burtch, Jazmen Day, and Ares Smith; great grandchildren, Elika and Aurora Ellis; brothers, Richard, Jerry (Stella), Frank (Pat), and Donald (Cindi) Schultz; sisters, Janice (Jim) Carpa, Diane Lee, Sharon Allen, Susie (Mike) Ratin, and Patti Keeton; sisters-in-law, Cathy Smith and Susan (Claude) Gilmore; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashlee Nedrow; brother, Ron Schultz; sisters, Jean Fenner and Carolyn Dishman; and nephew, Jason Schultz.

A memorial gathering will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the home of Jerry and Stella.
