Ralph D McCallum

April 26th, 1942 to September 23rd, 2016

Ralph Douglas McCallum, 74, of Lexington, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 23, 2016.

He was born April 26, 1942 in Port Huron to the late Donald Earl McCallum and Leah Elizabeth (Black) McCallum.

After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he graduated from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas and went on to pastor at churches in Iron City, Tennessee; Jackson, Romeo and Croswell, Michigan, before retiring as a rural mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in 2002. He currently was attending Colonial Woods Missionary Church. During his retirement years, he enjoyed duck carving, crossword puzzles and reading.

He is survived by his wife, Lavonne; a son, Donald (Wendy) McCallum; a daughter, Annette (Keith) Johnson; two grandchildren, Calliope and Penelope Johnson; a brother, Theron Crorey; a sister, Linda Holmes; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Stan Liechty will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
