Esther E. MacDonald

March 12th, 1931 to October 3rd, 2016

Esther E. MacDonald, 85, of Marysville, left this world on Monday, October 3, 2016 to play golf in Heaven with her loving husband of 52 years and all their dear friends.

She was born March 12, 1931 in Port Huron to the late Raymond & Grace Lasher and was a lifelong area resident. She married Richard A. “Dick” MacDonald on November 3, 1950 in Port Huron. He died June 14, 2003.

Esther was a retired traffic manager at Prestolite Wire and Cable Company and a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church. She was an avid card player and loved to sing. More than anything, she had an endearing love of children and enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Dean) Currie of Port Huron; four sons, Mark (Marla) MacDonald of San Antonio, Texas, Ron “Rich” (Ann) MacDonald of Winona, Minnesota, Brad (Dee) MacDonald of Port Huron, and Lary (Masako) MacDonald of Hachioji, Tokyo, Japan; nine grandchildren, Bradley Jr., Alan, Christopher, Aaron, Andrew, Lori, Deena, Jennifer, and Liam; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and six siblings, Harvey, Gerald, and Howard Lasher, Mildred Cameron, Margaret Meinhardt, and Carol Clark.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016 in First Presbyterian Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Jason Pittman will officiate.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fort Gratiot.
