Melinda M Strang

Melinda May Strang, 65, of Marysville, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.

She was born August 7, 1951 to the late Edward and Lucille Cottrell.

Melinda retired after serving as a communications supervisor with the Port Huron Police Department. She was a graduate of Port Huron Northern High School and a member of the Charles A. Hammond American Legion Post 8 Auxiliary. She loved to shop and travel, but most importantly was a devoted grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Christy (David) DeMeulenaere; granddaughter, Erin Violet DeMeulenaere; and many other dear friends and family. She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Bradley Owen.

Memorial visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2016 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.

Memorials may be made to GRRoM (Golden Retriever Rescue of Michigan) or the Charles A. Hammond American Legion Post 8 Auxiliary.
