Phyllis Hale

Phyllis J. Hale, 89, of Port Huron Township, died Sunday, October 30, 2016.

She was born October 27, 1927 in Port Huron to the late Robert and Ella Genaw. She married Cameron Hale on June 7, 1947 in Port Huron. He died December 8, 2006.

Mrs. Hale worked for Michigan National Bank prior to retirement. She was a longtime member and past president of Port Huron Lionesses, a member of the Elks, and enjoyed snowmobiling, gardening, camping, fishing, especially fly fishing, and was an avid Detroit Tiger fan. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who affectionately called her Nana.

She is survived by three sons, Cameron Hale, Brian (Jill) Hale and Todd (Sona) Hale; four grandchildren, Brandon (Holly) Hale, Nicole Hale and fiancé Nick Mcnamar, Jason and Eric Hale; great granddaughter, Aria Hale; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hale will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 in Holy Trinity Parish - St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Rev. Salvatore Palazzolo will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
